Frequently Asked Questions:
What video tapes can you convert?
We have the abiliity to convert Video 8, Digital Video 8 VHS and Mini DV tapes.
Do I have to send you my tapes?
You can either send us your tapes to P.O. Box 11411, Papamoa. You can also courier or drop your tapes into our studio at suite 5, 9 Domain Road, Papamoa
Do you have any loss prevention in place to try and prevent my tapes being damaged?
We know how treasured your tapes are and do treat them with the best of care. In fact ,to date, we have not had any issues over damaging or losing our clients tapes. Some tapes, when given to us for conversion, have been damaged due to mould or tape creasing from a previous player...In these incidences, we do our best to recover the images, but this may result in Picture Jumping or in extreem cases, complete picture loss.
On the DVD's you make, is there scene selection, where I can press the forward button and skip to the next chapter?
When we create a DVD, 6 minute markers are created so that you can jump play in 6 minute hops.Chapters are only created when we change tapes as part of a compilation.
I have a number of tapes. Can you compile these onto 1 DVD?
Yes...say if you have 3 X 30 minute tapes, we will compile them one after the other onto the DVD. Each time a new tape is started, a new chapter is created. The limitation is that the maximum time we can dub onto a DVD is 2 Hours. The cost for a compilation is the same as a straight out 2 hour conversion
